I thought the humor in Wonder was very cute. Some of it was dry humor and sarcastic. I liked the way that Auggie would use humor to deal with his feelings and his appearance.
I loved Wonder! I thought the humor used in the novel was sprinkled in in a perfect way to keep the story from being too heavy. The humor was dry and sarcastic, a bit like my own.
Oh, yeah! I loved the fact that Auggie could joke about himself to the kids. It put them more at ease with him. I thought parts of the book were hilarious! But, it's rather like my own sense of humor.
I also loved it when Auggie and Jack were talking about having plasitc surgery....Jack asked him if he could have it and Auggie said that his face was after plastic surgery then Jack laughed and said that Auggie should sue his plastic surgeon! I thought that was hilarious! The fact that they could laugh about such a thing was priceless....
